Sandhar Foundation
Company has espoused for itself the philosophy of “Growth, Motivation and a Better Life”. This philosophy is the guiding principle for all its activities, whether be it in business or for society in large. Company believes that it not only has a legal obligation to give back to the society what it gets, but there is a societal element too while it moves forward in its path of sustainable growth. Therefore, even before the legal obligation appeared on the anvil and found a place in corporate sphere, it was already ingrained into the Company’s value systems whereby SANDHAR FOUNDATION was incorporated as a Trust for undertaking various activities as part of Corporate Social Responsibility since 2010 onwards.
Taking these practices forward, the Company’s Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Jayant Davar institutionalized the concept of triple bottom line accountability represented by Economic Success, Environmental Responsibility and Social Commitment.
Healthcare
As part of its CSR initiative SANDHAR has extended support to the 1st Community Based Sustainable Drinking Water Project at Village Saharanwas, District Rewari. The Clean drinking water plant was inaugurated on 29th July 2016 by the Sarpanch of the village Ms. Yadav along with Mr. Ajay Raghav the Business head of Sandhar Aluminium die casting division; and dedicated to the people of Saharanwas.
Sandhar Foundation is running a Health Care Centre at Village Begumpur Khatola (Near Manesar) for the surrounding villagers including migrant population (approx.. 30,000) since last six years wherein Consultation and Free Medicines are disbursed to patients by qualified medical staff. In addition, regular free medical health check-up camps are held apart from conducting certain basic Lab test such as Blood and Urine.

Girl Child Education
Under this initiative, we had sponsored 12 girls from the EWS of the society for studies till class 12. This is an ongoing commitment which was renewed this year as well at a cost of Rs 3.7 lakhs (approx) per annum.
Sandhar has adopted a Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School at NIT-1, Faridabad having 1050 Girl Students with the objective to provide them with the same environment as is available to those students studying in Private Schools to enable them to compete with their counterparts at a level playing field when they pass out

Community services
Sandhar supports Adopt- a-Gran programme that is run by the Springdales Education Society. Under the programme 31 Grans in the Dasghara- todapur have been adopted. The Student volunteers regularly visit them and provide the grans material and emotional support. Every month they get regular ration and medical checkup is organized from time to time.

Environment
We regularly undertake tree plantation in and around the vicinity of our plants.
People of our unit MAG engineering regularly devote time to maintain a park in the vicinity of its Factory. They use the excess treated water for gardening.
